The Mini Cat Jollymotor Offshore is a hand laid fiberglass racing boat. Unlike the gelcoat finish of the other boats in our line, it is painted with a full Jollymotor Racing Team scale paint job and then clear coated. The brushless outrunner motor and electronic speed control are chemically treated at the factory to make them resistant to moisture. Small amounts of water in the boat is not an issue. The use of an outrunner motor is unique in the industry. We believe the outrunner will eventually become the motor of choice due to its ability to produce much more torque than an inrunner and thus can turn a bigger propeller.
The Jollymotor Offshore comes built and ready-to-run. Just add battery. A 2 channel radio is already installed. The brushless outrunner motor uses a unique CNC Machined water cooling system rather than the usual silicone sleeve or wrapped aluminum tubing found on lesser quality boats. The antenna mount is already installed and the antenna furnished. This is another example of the extra attention to quality not normally found in ready-to-run models.
The water cooled electronic speed control (ESC) is pre-programmed for 11.1V Lithium Polymer batteries and has preset voltage cutoffs to protect your valuable batteries from over discharging. The ESC is perfectly matched with the powerful outrunner motor. Recommended batteries are: 3S, 11.1 1800-2200mAh Lipo pack (not included).
The unique hull design and makes the boat track like it is on rails without any tendency to flip. The boat is easy for a novice to run while being challenging enough for the most seasoned pro.
